Our daily lives have been upended, and with many families at home all day, basic household essentials are, well, more essential than ever. To help you get access to the supplies you may need to maintain a well-cared for and healthy at-home environment, DoorDash is partnering with regional and national convenience stores across the U.S.—including 7-Eleven, Wawa, Casey’s General Store, and CircleK—to offer you essential household products on demand, delivered straight to your doorstep through a no-contact drop-off option.

Out of paper towels and need rolls in a pinch? In need of some Advil for yourself and quick snacks for the kids, but a grocery run isn’t in the cards this afternoon? With our newly launched Convenience category, we’ve got you covered during a critical time when household items are in high demand and short supply. We know that you need these supplies in a quick and reliable way, which is why we’ve recently added more than 1,800 convenience stores to the platform, providing near-instant access to everything from cleaning supplies to ice cream pints to over-the-counter medicine.

We began piloting this offering earlier this year, and given the changes and challenges so many are facing in this moment, we accelerated the launch of our Convenience category to offer critical supplies during a time when delivery and pickup are vital to consumers’ wellbeing and to the health of our local communities. Local businesses have been forced to change how they operate, and through this effort we hope to support and empower franchise owners and local convenience stores to reach customers through the DoorDash platform.

To get the household essentials you need in a flash, look for the Convenience icon or banner at the top of the app. We’re actively launching more convenience stores every day, and offering even more items from those stores on the DoorDash platform, so check back often to find a convenience store near you open for delivery or pickup.

We’re hopeful that this new category will open up even more opportunities to our entire community – increasing sales for the stores on our platform, providing even more convenience to our customers, and offering more earning opportunities to Dashers, all during a critical time of need.
